Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 AM EDT /9 AM cdt/ this morning for the florida panhandle, southeast alabama, portions of north florida, and portions of south central georgia….

recent satellite and surface observations showed areas of dense fog developing across southeast alabama, the florida
panhandle, portions of north florida, and portions of south
central georgia. this fog appeared to be rather shallow and will likely dissipate mid to late morning.

the National Weather Service in tallahassee has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EDT /9 AM cdt/ this morning.

* visibility: one quarter mile or less.

* impacts: sudden changes in visibility may pose a hazard for motorists this morning.

a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving, slow down… use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
